Main Duties

Main Duties

An opportunity has now become available for an experienced Electrical Project Electrician to make a positive contribution towards developing and maintaining the workplace and equipment to a high standard.  

Duties of the job
  • To independently carry out installation and commissioning of electrical equipment with up to 415V potential.
  • Power failure correction, including overloads and replacing fuses.
  • Sensing and switching device problems.
  • Relay and PCB system fault diagnostics.
  • Use of basic PLC fault diagnostics and programming.
  • Rectifier maintenance.
  • Component failures, repairs and replacement of relays, contactors, coils,
  • solenoids and PCBs.
  • Motor and drive faults (AC & DC) - thyristor motor drives.
  • Motor repairs, including bearings and brushes.
  • Lighting installation and maintenance.
  • Heating element repairs.
  • Overhaul of machines, sub-assemblies and components.
  • Replacement of thermocouples.
  • Testing of earthing equipment and satisfactory operation.
  • Furnace control equipment using thyristor equipment.

 

Candidate requirements

  • A Craftsman will have attained at least 12 months experience as well as having completed a relevant certificated maintenance apprenticeship, preferably in a process industry, with an ONC/HNC preferred.

·         A good understanding of electrical measurements and instrumentation.

·         Installation of distribution systems, including cable and equipment selection, and test procedures.

·         To have a good knowledge of the electrical safety regulations.

·         A good understanding of the use of PLCs in fault finding, and programming.

Reporting to the QA Manager, you will oversee the daily running of the Microbiology Laboratory. You will lead the site in microbiology ensuring that all appropriate microbiological standards and regulatory requirements are met in clean rooms. Develop a culture in which all staff has a full knowledge and understanding of the aspects of microbiology and hygiene appropriate to their role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Through a high profile presence , both personally and by the Microbiology department ensure that microbiological and hygiene aspects of GMP are understood by all and strictly enforced

·         Implement monitor and maintain appropriate standards of control over process personnel, environment and utilities to demonstrate compliance with all regulatory and clients standards

·         Advise on and review microbiological aspects of SOP’s, validation protocols and microbiological regulatory submissions

·         Manage the Microbiology Laboratory to provide a compliant, on time testing service to the site, ensuring sufficient stocks of media/reagents and consumables

·         Ensure the water system meets the required microbiological specification.  Responsible for monitoring, sampling and testing of the Water for Injection system

·         Ensure that cGMP standards in the Microbiology Laboratory are maintained.

·         Prepare Environmental Monitoring / Water reports for monthly Quality Meetings.

  • Assist the Technical Development Manager in Development Studies, which may entail testing products to British Standard Methods such as BSEN 1040, BSEN 1276 etc.

  • Minimum of a degree in Microbiology

·         Min 3- 5 years in a supervisory/ management role

  • Experience of pharmaceutical microbiology would be beneficial including that gained in manufacture of sterile products.

Our client brings together a blend of safety professional, control of work and plant control/programming expertise. They provide risk assessment IT software internationally to major petrochemical companies to keep their workforce safe. Currently they require an experienced Project Manager to work in conjunction with their customer in Qatar (Middle East) to successfully plan, design and implement the product. One month will be spent in product training with the client in South Wales before placement commences in Qatar for 5 months with fully expensed enhanced package. This is an initial 6 month project with the high possibility of further projects.

 

Main Responsibilities

·         Lead teams to prepare project proposals for submission and implement project in respect of planning, design and construction.

·         Manage the delivery of the project to meet time, quality and budgetary targets.

·         Organise project teams for effective and efficient project implementation.

·         Assist with the marketing of my clients services through client liaison, bid and proposal presentation and general promotional activities.

·         Provide weekly progression and forward planning reports to my client.

 

Candidate Requirements

·         Minimum of a Degree in an Engineering discipline is essential.

·         Previous demonstrable Project Management experience is essential.

·         Basic IT Software knowledge is advantageous.

·         Good experience in planning, design and contract services.
