Our client is a well known company and part of a successful group within the scientific sector who have experienced considerable success and expansion. Due to continuing demand for company products an opportunity has become available for a customer service representative initially on a 6 month contract with possible future permanency to take up post as soon as possible.

Key duties will include:

  • Dealing with enquiries, progressing order and referring technical queries
  • Dealing with incoming and regular standing orders, processing information, data entry, raising and despatching to warehouse, monitoring incoming and outgoing stock and ensuring availability
  • Dealing with quotes, issuing and maintaining literature, samples and following up
  • Filing quotes, invoices, orders and other customer correspondence
  • Recording, monitoring of literature and sample requests, website information, sales leads and gather and input marketing data and

Candidate requirements:

  • Applicants must have previous experience in administration and customer services ideally from within manufacturing

Main Duties

  • Manages the Quality Control activities and also the daily running of the Microbiology department

  • Plans and coordinates quality control and Microbiological programs consistent with established standards / compliance with ISO / EU (GMP) regulatory requirements

  • Responsible for approval and release of all starting materials / Product into stock

  • Responsible for ensuring all testing of all incoming, intermediate and Finished Products according to approved specifications

  • Liaise with suppliers to address issues with incoming materials and stock levels

  • Ensure sufficient that cGMP & 5S standards in the Laboratory are maintained.

  • Assist in External & Internal audits and compile reports

  • Prepare Environmental Monitoring / Water reports for monthly Quality Meetings

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree, Higher National Certificate in a relevant scientific discipline with proven managerial experience

  • Good analytical and laboratory skills

  • Ability to show initiative in solving problems and identifying improvements

  • Internal Auditor qualification

  • Ability to work accurately and methodically and IT Literate
